Project 4A Reviving Sungai Pinang: Site Analysis

Our first group project starts from this point of the semester where we had to carry out a site analysis at Sungai Pinang in the island itself. I have always been so fond of group projects because I enjoy working with my classmates therefore I was really excited to start up this project, let alone being put into a group with hardworking and dedicated teammates; Koshi, Syamierul, Yu Hong, nd Nadira.

Carrying out site analysis can be challenging especially when you try to identify the natural features around the site and also mapping the site itself, well at least it is to me. All in all, the site analysis that we managed to carry out on that day gae us all the information that we need, even more so when we presented our findings in class and AR Vijaya gave us more input that we need. For example, she told us about the soil type and condition of Penang island and how this type of soil requires not only archtects and engineers to engage into it but also geologists.

We were required to produce 4 A2 boards and a scaled landscape model to. Below are our final outcome for our boards and landscape model.
